Saving the Goat

Saving the mysterious goat was no light task. It was painfully exhausting for Jones. Thankfully, the waters were kinder to Jones on the way back to the shore. Jones let the goat swim by itself once they were only feet away from the rocks. The goat paddled to the shore as if nothing had happened. Jones collapsed as soon as he got to the rocks. He had done a good thing and now he knew he could rest. "Nicely done, private." Jones craned his neck to see Sgt. Rodgers standing over him. "You led us right to her." Sgt. Rodgers continues. Jones, in shock, searches for words. "Don't worry. For this I will let you live. But you haven't earned my trust yet. Take him away." Two nearby soldiers lift Jones off the rocks and carry him away.
