Not the Movies

In the movies when the hero discovers a cool, yet failing business they hatch a brilliant plan. Usually this involves throwing up flyers around town and announcing a big sale/ party. More people always come then expected. They realize how cool this business is and wonder why they have never been there before. Everyone is happy. Roll credits. But this is real life. Things don't always pan out that way. Sometimes they do, but more often than not they don't. In real life the owner often has only a month or a couple weeks before they inevitably have to shut down. It sucks, but that's just the way things are sometimes. Olivia and I took our little chat with the arcade owner as a sign that perhaps this town offered all that it could for us and maybe it was time for us to move on. As Morgan Freeman said in Shawshank Redemption "Get busy living or get busy dying."
