Connecting Tunnel

We followed Jim down a dark corridor. I'm not sure why we chose to follow him, but I'm glad we did. It was much cooler under ground. "So, this is a tunnel?" I ask, half anticipating a sarcastic answer. "Well, it's not an elevator." Jim replies, not letting me down one bit. "This leads to the bait shop?" Olivia asks. "That it does." Jim's short answers are somewhat frustrating, but not as annoying as his quick pace. We practically have to run to keep up with him. "Did you make the tunnel?' Olivia asks, trying to catch her breath at the same time. "No, our father did." "Pete's your brother?" "That is generally what happens when two people have the same father. Come one, now. We have a lot of ground to cover and we aren't even at the halfway point yet."
